Saigou Tokumori (西郷 特盛), also known as Mademoiselle Saigou, is the father of Saigou Teruhiko and owner of okama club by the name of Kamakko club, where he works as a drag queen.
Background[]
A past Joui fighter more senior than the new generation which included Katsura Kotarou and Sakata Gintoki, he was well known at that time as the powerful White Loincloth Saigou. Now as one of the 4 Devas of Kabuki District, he is known as Fearsome God Mademoiselle Saigou.
Saigou had a wife and a son, but after her death and without a maternal figure, decided to cross dress and became an okama.
Appearance[]
Saigou dresses as a woman, wearing a pink kimono, white socks and sandals typical of women in Edo. His hair is in the traditional shimada style, which along with his tall stature, gives him a more imposing and austere presence than his fellow drag queens.
When in battle, Saigou wears nothing but a white loincloth, sometimes wielding a large sledgehammer.
Personality[]
Saigou has a headstrong, determined yet empathetic personality. He also expresses comfort in dressing and presenting as a woman. He is fiercely protective towards his fellow drag queens which is shown by his attacking anybody who insults them. One of his punishments for people who express disgust or hatred towards crossdressers is to work at the club and dress as a drag queen to instill empathy. He also deeply cares for his son Saigou Tokumori, acting as both the father and (majority of the time) mother figure to him.
Strength & Abilities[]
Saigou has immense strength and durability. He made a name for himself during the Joui wars as a legendary warrior that assaulted an Amanto ship with nothing but a loincloth. Saigou took a hit from Kagura on the chin, which sent him flying a few feet, but appeared to be entirely unharmed from the blow. He also defended Pirako from two swords with his back, taking the blows in his shoulder, and was still able to fight afterwards.
He usually fights with his bare hands, but used a sledgehammer during the Kabukicho Four Devas Arc.
Story[]
In Episode 24, Saigou forced Gintoki and Katsura to crossdress, after they showed disrespect for the drag queen profession.
