Mone, along with her older twin sister Ane and the Inugami, Sadaharu and Komako were in charge of protecting the Koryuumon, the largest Dragon Hole (龍穴, ryuuketsu), which directs the energy flow of the planet. The Amanto, however, built the Terminal right on top of it, driving the sisters out of business. Since then, Mone seems to live a peaceful life, continuing her profession as a priestess with little results. She greatly disapproves of her sister being a hostess. She's also shown to play the flute.

Appearance[]

Ane has long, black hair, albeit brighter than her sister's, reaching the middle of her back, with a fringe covering her forehead. She is seen at all times to wear typical priestess clothing, red hakama and a white haori. She also wears a necklace with a single magatama.

Personality[]

She comes off as rude, especially towards her sister who she frequently insults for having given up the way of God.

She expressed her regret at having abandoned Sadaharu, no matter the circumstances and was touched by the Yorozuya treating him like family even after he went on a rampage.

Story[]

Inugami Arc[]

Mone and Ane first appear when they see the news of Sadaharu's sudden growth and quickly rush to the Yorozuya to help. It is then that they reveal the Yorozuya's mascot's true nature and offer their assistance in returning him to normal. After failing to perform the incantation, they resort to throwing a baseball to draw a pentagram while trapping Sadaharu in the middle and after Mone suffers a great deal of damage due to her clumsiness, they changing him back.

Silver Soul Arc[]

Ane, Mone, Komako, and Sadaharu work together to use their spiritual power to suppress the Altana lay lines. After being attacked by enemies Ane and Mone give all their power to Sadaharu and tell him to use it for whatever he wants to do. When Sadaharu is running out of power trying to suppress the Altana, Mone and Ane use their powers to consensually extract the life force of the residents of Kabukicho who want to help support the battle and give it to Sadaharu.

When Sadaharu fell into a coma from overusing his powers she and Ane told Kagura that they did not know how to wake him up. She and Mone told Gintoki about the different Altana gates across the country and drew him a map of all the ones they knew of.[1]

  • Sadaharu: The sisters abandoned Sadaharu because they could no longer afford to take care of him, but were very touched to see the bond he had built with the Yorozuya. They offered to take care of him again to repay the trouble he caused but the yorozuya turned them down. During the Silver Soul arc the sister gave Sadaharu all of their spiritual power and told him that he didn't have to use it to save the world and should use it however he wanted.
  • Komako: Mone is very close with Komako. Komako seems to care for her as well as she protected her during the Silver Soul arc.
