Leukocytes are anti-virus software created by Tama to protect her body from viruses and other anomalies and they live solely to serve her. All Leukocytes resemble humans wearing white-colored full body suits, although some have unique appearances depending on their purpose and function within Tama's system. They are led by the Leukocyte King, the strongest Leukocyte and Tama's main protector. The culture and behavior of the Leukocytes is reminiscent of the npcs and characters from the popular video game series Dragon Quest, something which Gintoki takes particular note of, having inns, weapons shops, churches and quests all reminiscent of the famed RPG series.
