Lesson 532 is the 532th chapter of the Gintama series.

Summary

While defending himself with other Shinsengumi members, the Joui samurai, and Yorozuya from the Naraku, Hijikata finally understood what Kondo said being a Shinsengumi is not just protecting the Bakufu and, most importantly, Edo.

Somewhere on another ship, the Mimawarigumi were advancing to Kokujou island, with Nobume being in charge. In reaction, Nobume questioned Sasaki about the prison break, revealing that he placed the prisoners together with a purpose. While so, Sasaki remarked that her old ally, Oboro had already arrived before them, and that this would be the final battle between the Shinsengumi and the Mimawarigumi.

At the same time, as Kondo, Katsura, and Matsudaira subdued the patrols, they spotted the Mimawarigumi arriving first to kill the three prisoners. However, Katsura assured Kondo that their friends would came to rescue them soon. Meanwhile, upon leaving the ship that was attacked by the Naraku (and shot by Kagura,) the Shinsengumi, the Joui faction, Heiji, Haji, Otae, and the Yorozuya were on the way to Kokujou to rescue Katsura, Kondo, and Matsudaira.
