She is always seen wearing 'china' clothes like other Yato. Like both her children, Kouka has orange hair tied into a long braid and a bun cover at the back of her head similar to Kagura. She usually appears holding a smoking pipe like Takasugi Shinsuke and Tsukuyo. Kagura describes Kouka to be pretty.
Kagura: Kagura mentions her mother several times in the series and seemed to be very attached to her.
Kamui: Little is shown of them being together however, from a flashback we know that Kamui used to hide his injuries to prevent Kouka from worrying about him when she was ill. He would also take care of Kagura to make up for his mother's absence. It seemed that Kamui started off loving and caring for his mother, but later his feelings may have changed which resulted in him leaving his family to join the Harusame.
