Kabuki District is a red-light district in Edo and the main setting of Gintama. Kabuki District is where Snack Otose, Yorozuya's office and the many cabaret clubs, host clubs etc. are located. It is the district closest to the O-Edo Central Terminal and the building can be seen from most areas in Kabuki District.
It is purportedly 'ruled' by the 4 Devas of Kabuki District かぶき町四天王, namely Otose, the Kujaku Hime, Mademoiselle Saigou Tokumori and Doromizu Jirochou. Because of a generation change, the new 4 Devas Sakata Gintoki, Shimura Tae, Azumi and Kurogoma Katsuo currently 'rule' the Kabuki District.
