Haga Kenji (破牙検事) is known as a brilliant public prosecutor. Though less known, he was also a play-boy who has liaisons with many influential elite upper-class women, including Hasegawa Taizou's wife, Hatsu, who came from a well-to-do samurai family.

Story

He cross-examined Hasegawa mercilessly in the Kinniku Basuta trial in Episode 95. During the trial, he purposely let Hasegawa win and did not bring up the fact that he left the bureau because his intention was to spar with him.

In Episode 100, one of the posters in the train is an advertisement of a lawyer's office with his photo on it, indicating that he has left the Public Prosecutor's office and set up his own law firm.
