Plot[]

Umibouzu notices Kamui's wound from protecting his sister and tells his son that he will get rid of him for good if he continues his foolish acts. They charge towards each other but Kagura stops them both with a pillar. She finds it absurd that the two are still fighting with each other in these perilous times, but is nonetheless glad that her family are together on Earth, just like their mother had wished for.

While they fight off the Naraku immortals, Umibouzu shares that he has collected Altana crystals from across the universe. Utsuro would lose his immortality if his body is exposed to a large dose of incompatible Altana. He was determined to use the crystals to save the planet that Kouka loved. Umibouzu reveals that he used the crystals to revive his dead hair follicles. Angered by his frivolous use of Earth's last hope, the Yoruzuya beat him up and Kamui rips out his hair. Umibouzu shoots a gun imbued with Altana energy at the Naraku and Kamui finds his stash of Altana bombs; the two Yato tell Kagura that they will fend off the Altana army while the Yoruzuya defeat Utsuro and rescue Sadaharu. The older Yato hands Gintoki a steel sword forged with Altana crystals. The silver-hair samurai replies that he managed to get this far in life because of the two blunt and unbreakable swords by his side; he thanks Umibouzu was making it possible for him to meet one of the dull swords and promises to return with both swords in tow.

Ane, Mone, Sadaharu and Komako managed to quell all the Altana surges except the one at the terminal. They realise that both Sadaharu and Komako have shrunk in size due to overuse of their powers. The group is ambushed by the Naraku; Komako stays behind to fend off a group of Naraku soldiers while Sadaharu runs off with the two injured sisters. The terminal's Altana gate could no longer hold back the burst of Altana energy and explode, causing an earthquake across Edo. The Yoruzuya encounter the two priestesses and Nobume stays behind to look after them, telling the Yoruzuya to head to the terminal to stop Utsuro.

In space, Shijaku calls Prince Hata and tells him to destroy the SS Heavenly Bird, as they have lost control of the mothership and it was about to crash into Earth. However, as they do not have time to evacuate the ship, destroying SS Heavenly Bird would mean killing all the samurai and Altana Liberation Army soldiers on board. Shijaku tells Prince Hata that him and Dragonia would stand behind the decision of a kind prince who loves all creatures. Prince Hata prepares to fire at the SS Heavenly Bird but Hasegawa stops him. He tells the prince that the right choice was to save both Earth and the mothership. He orders the fleet to position themselves in front of the SS Heavenly Bird, in order to slow down the impact of the ship's entry into Earth. Shijaku believes that the plan was insane as they would all crash together, but Prince Hata tells his brother to believe in the choice made by the man he believes in. The fleet activates its anti-impact shields and to hold back the crash but quickly pass its critical load.

Hasegawa tells the others that the plan would only work if they could gather all the ships in the universe. The leaders of the Altana Liberation Army, touched by Hasegawa's ambition to save their comrades on the SS Heavenly Bird, quickly offer their whole fleets to help protect Earth. Shinjaku wonders about the kind of power and influence that Hasegawa has over the universe, to which Hasegawa replies that he was just an unemployed man without any responsibilities.
