Introduction[]

Plot[]

As the Yoruzuya and Shinsengumi fight the Altana Liberation Army, Kagura runs off as she senses the extraordinary bloodlust of the Yato clan. Just then, a spaceship crashes into Edo.

Gengai explains that the cylinders contain nanomachines that could defeat the virus that he spread. It turns out that Gengai tricked the Yato leader; the cylinder held explosives that would go off at body temperature. As the cylinders exploded, Kagura rescues Gengai and jumps into another building. The Yato give chase but are stopped by a cloaked figure, who turned out to be Kamui accompanied by Abuto and the rest of the Harusame 7th Division. The Yato leader, Master Son, was shocked to see the remnants of the dead pirate fleet in Edo, but Kamui retorts that pirates would never die. In space, the other ex-Harusame captains, Batou and Shoukaku, join the attack against the SS Heavenly Bird.

Kamui encourages Kagura to get up and keep fighting. Kagura remarks that his stupidity was incurable, to which Kamui replies that Gintoki said the same thing to him but still sent him to her side. Kagura said that it was because Gintoki knew the two would not lose to anyone but each other and hence would be invincible together. Master Son resolves to destroy Edo and would not let anyone get in the way; his body grows bigger in size and Abuto comments that he must be the legendary Yato mercenary who has lived and fought for two centuries. Kamui and Kagura are unfazed as he tells the mercenary that Kouka's immortal blood course in their veins.

During the fight, Kagura accidentally kicks Kamui in the face and he retaliates by throwing her into the ceiling. The pair start to fight each other instead, with Master Son caught in the middle of the sibling spat. Kamui tricks Kagura into closing her eyes and flicks her out of the way when Master Son attacks them. Kagura uses Master Son to smash Kamui into the ground and the two begin to use him as a weapon against each other. Master Son realises that their spat was a fake-out but was killed by the pair shortly.

Master Son's men attack and the 7th Division fight back. Kamui tells Kagura that he wants to get to fighting his real target soon. Gintoki and Sougo show up to settle their old scores with Kamui. Gintoki said that with all the rematches lined up for Kamui, he should not expect a chance to fight his main target alone. Kamui responds that he would "take responsibility" for all of them, and would not let anyone of them die before he kills them. Abuto warns the remaining Yato warriors to retreat as the universe's craziest and stupidest big brothers have teamed up and are unbeatable. However, before the Yato could do so, the Naraku show up and kill all of them.

Utsuro thanks the group for their foolishness and help in making the war a messy one. Earth's ending ought to be beautiful and has no place for them. Utsuro informs them that he has been saving a special show for them and unleashes all the Altana gates on Earth.
