Introduction[]
Umibozu and Gintoki's meeting with Kagura's boyfriend Dai doesn't go according to plan as he's revealed to be the prince of Planet Titan. Meanwhile, the new couple's relationship takes a drastic turn.
Plot[]
Kagura introduces her boyfriend Dai to Gintoki and Umibouzu. Dai is a prince from Planet Titan, and they were introduced by Princess Soyo. As Dai was too big, he was unable to make friends on Earth and could only spar with Kagura. He grew attached to her and asked the young boy from the previous episode to help deliver his confession letter to her.
Gintoki and Umibouzu try to interact with him nicely, but found that Dai was rude and disrespectful. He also did not understand why Kagura was still living with Gintoki, and warned him to stay away from her. He announced his intention to marry Kagura and take her back to his own planet. In their efforts to discourage him from marrying Kagura, the two men hurl insults at her, which caused the girl to leave hastily with her new boyfriend. Unable to direct their displeasure at Dai as they agreed to act as grown-ups, the two men vent their anger and frustration by beating each other (and Shinpachi) up.
On a park bench, Kagura realises that dating was a pain and she did not truly understand love. Dai tries to explain the difference between romantic and familial love, but Kagura concludes that she did not want to return to his home planet and preferred to start a long-distance relationship instead. She explained that one could find love anywhere in the universe, but she could only find her family here on Earth. As she leaves the park, Dai and other titans surround her and knock her out.
Meanwhile, Gintoki and Umibouzu confront Princess Soyo and demanded to know Kagura's location. She shares with Shinpachi that Planet Titan had a strange marriage custom - after selecting the perfect bride, the titans would eradicate all life on the bride's home planet in order to monopolize her genes. A giant spaceship suddenly appears over Edo. A army of titan in formal attire descended upon the city, destroying the town to make space for a makeshift church set-up. A titan priest read their wedding vows and asked Dai to seal their marriage with a kiss. As Dai leans in to kiss an unconscious Kagura, Shinpachi kicks the priest from behind and cause him to lock lips with the titan prince instead. Shinpachi states that in his obsession to make Kagura his own, he had trampled on her feelings and took away something precious to her. Dai tries to escape into his spaceship with Kagura, but the sky started to rain blood of the titans.
As Dai enters the spaceship, he saw that Gintoki and Umibouzu were already inside the ship and have beaten up every titan on board. Shinpachi explains that a boyfriend's possessiveness with their girlfriend or a race's possessiveness with genetics was nothing compared to a father's possessiveness of their daughter. The two fathers easily defeat Dai.
Some time later, Kagura receives a giant love letter from Dai. In the letter, Dai writes that his stay on Earth has taught him the importance of fathers and that he would never defy a father again. Shinpachi believes that Gintoki and Umibouzu had traumatized him, but as they read on, they realized that Dai has found a new love interest... the "Father" from the earlier seen. Gintoki blames Shinpachi was awakening that side of the titan prince. Outside the house, Kagura drafts her reply - she has learnt that while she still did not understand the difference between romantic and familial love, she was happy to spend time with Gintoki, Shinpachi and Umibouzu as her "boyfriends".
