Introduction[]
Kagura gets a boyfriend! What unspeakable things will happen to him who appears before the obsessively nosey, restlessly agitated Umibouzu and Gintoki?
Plot[]
The episode starts with Shinpachi narrating the story so far... except that it was a spoof of other anime like One Piece and Dragonball. He explains that the show was originally supposed to enter the final arc but they have ended up in the slip arc instead. The real episode starts with Umibouzu visiting Earth, complaining about the heat and claiming that the planet is unsuitable for Yato. Worried that Kagura would become tanned and toasty, he races to find her, only to see a boy handing a love letter to her at the playground. Unaware that her father was nearby, Kagura reads out the confession letter, to Umibouzu's anger.
Umibouzu throws a utility pole into Yoruzuya Gin-chan, and confronts Gintoki for not taking care of his daughter. At that moment, Kagura enters and happily announces that she has a boyfriend, to Umibouzu and Gintoki's disbelief. Shinpachi suggests that they ask Kagura about her boyfriend if they were curious about him, but both men kept pushing the responsibility to each other. Shinpachi prepares a celebratory meal to give both men the opportunity to question Kagura, but they got into a fight instead. Shinpachi asks her about it instead, and she confirms that she has agreed to go on a date with the boy, even though she admits that she did not truly understand how love works. Gintoki asks that she introduce the boyfriend to them first.
That night, Gintoki and Umibouzu get drunk together, as they refuse to accept that Kagura has a boyfriend now. Shinpachi explains that all daughters eventually have to grow up. After he leaves, Umibouzu admitted that he felt lonely watching Kagura grow up; Gintoki shares that it is their duty as an adult to send their children off with a smile.
The next day, Shinpachi visits the Yoruzuya, only to find that Umibouzu and Gintoki had stayed up all night practising their smiles to greet Kagura's boyfriend. They were now in large robes, had bloodshot eyes and creepy, unnatural grins, which all served to intimidate the visiting boyfriend. The two men agreed to act like grown-ups, and to talk to the boyfriend nicely. Kagura announced his arrival but said that he was unable to enter the house. The two men believed that the boy was a shy "big baby"... only to realize he was literally a giant Amanto that took the appearance of a child when he burst through their roof.

Trivia[]
- The first part of the episode contains references to One Piece, Dragon Ball, Kemono Friends, Naruto, Hunter X Hunter, the live action Gintama movie and Granblue Fantasy.
- As a reference to the 2017 live-action film, Shinpachi considers actor Masaki Suda, known for his good looks, as his "3D" form, which irritates both Gintoki and Kagura.
