Kagura brings the dog in the Yorozuya and names it [[Sadaharu]]. Inside his collar they find a note from his previous owner asking them to take care of him. Gin and Shinpachi strongly disagree with that idea and are pushing Kagura not to keep him. At the same time, the Shinsegumi are looking for any unusual animals for Prince Hata. While Kagura is asleep, Gin and Shinpachi try to get rid of Sadaharu, who is not very pleased with that idea and hunts them down the street. They decide to take him to Otae but Kagura catches up to them and takes Sadaharu back. As Kagura is playing with Sadaharu, she informs the rest of the gang that she used to have another pet names Sadaharu, a rabbit, but she accidentally killed it during her sleep. From that point and on, she kept herself away from animals to avoid hurting them, but now Sadaharu seems to make a good partner for her. She asks them to take care of him, while she goes to buy some pickled seaweed. The Shinsegumi arrive and ask Gin to hand over that dog, but all they get is a negative answer from him. Sadaharu hunts the Yorozuya once more, but when they reach the road, they get hit by Prince Hata's car and are knocked uncoscious along with Sadaharu. Excited from Sadaharu, he decides to take him and ties him to the car's roof. Gin catches up and climbs the roof trying to stop the car. Kagura joins the chase, but with a powerful hit with her umbrella, she knocks the car to the river, forgeting that Sadaharu was still on top of it. She starts to cry, but then she notices that Gin sitting on a tree after he saved Sadaharu. Relieved, they head towards their place. |

After Kagura buys some pickled seaweed, he finds a huge dog at the Yorozuya's front door. Meanwhile, Prince Hata returns to Edo in search of a rare pet. Kagura brings the dog in the Yorozuya and names it Sadaharu. Inside his collar they find a note from his previous owner asking them to take care of him.
